Future of Technology

We've all thought about once, haven't we? Every time we buy some kind of device, we know that there will be a more powerful, convenient, and fun device to follow it. So here is what I think Is going to happen to the electronic industry;

The Stuff Happening Now
Devices such as the Iphone, Droid, And Windows Phone start to mock computers, containing pretty much everything a computer can do.

The device
In a certain amount of years, maybe 1- maybe 20, A device shall be released by a major company (Probably Apple or Microsoft) that shall do everything that a computer can do, and more.

The Death of Computers
Because of this new device, computers will simply transformed into a mobile device. The word "Computer" will become history. Televisions will also be a thing of the past.

The Fading of Video Game consoles

With this new device, that will probably be able to be plugged into some sort of monitor or bigger scree, video games will probably be available, probably all on an in-device store. Nintendo will direct all there attention to making games, still being slightly successful.

The War

Eventually a new device will come from another company, and the devices will go back and forth until the device doesn't have anything it can't do.
And beyond there, I don't know.

Angry Birds Review

Angry Birds

Rovio

The most popular application on the market- but is it overrated?

If you walked up to someone who doesn't own an apple device, and asked them name one app from the app store, 9 of 10 times that answer would be "Angry Birds". Angry birds- is Apple's Mario.

In case you were born under a rock and have never heard of angry birds, it is a massively popular game available on many phones and ipod touches. In the hundreds of levels of birds, you launch different types of "Birds" at the "pigs" forts, with your objective to destroy all the pigs with the amount of birds provided. Not as easy as it might sound. There are various types of birds- one that drops a bomb, one that splits into three birds, one that explodes on contact, and a few others. The levels progressively get harder, and some seem impossible.

The difficulty of this game can be so intense, you'll probably scream aloud a few times in the first few minutes. Even those who dash to Youtube at every level will still find difficultly. The restart level button will become your best friend, and if it counted the number of times you pressed it- the number wouldn't exist.

Angry birds provides an addicting challenge, but it isn't as satisfying as you might think. The level system works like this; there are several episodes (currently 6) and each contains three worlds. Each world contains 15-20 levels, so it will be awhile before you find yourself tackling the challenge of getting 3 stars on every level. So that gives you about 305 levels of madness.

Angry birds is a unique, addictive mix of a puzzler and plat former- and the word "Angry" defiantly belongs in the title.

Final Score-

8.9-Great

Just below incredible

Archetype Review

Well,Here is our First Review Ever! This is for a Popular FPS Multiplayer game for the the Iphone and Ipod touch. It is also avalible in a HD Version for the Ipad. If you can't find it in the app store, it is most likely not available for your model.

Archetype

Villian

A Popular Craze currently in the App store is FPS, or First Person Shooters. Another popular craze is Multiplayer games. Combine the two, and you've got Archetype.

What is archetype?

Archetype is a game where the player picks a screen name, or "BattleTag", then is put directly into the action.

Archetype is almost Strictly Multiplayer, But does feature a single player "Training" mode" where the player must take out several targets.

But the real fun is found in the multiplayer mode. When the Player taps "Play" they are brought into the Matchmaking lobby. Here, players are gathered into a 5-on-5 Lobby, Free-For-All Lobby, a 5-on-5 Capture the flag lobby, or a mix of the three.
The Players vote on a map and a mode, and after about one minute the players enter battle on teams balanced by the game.

The Matchmaking Lobby

Based on the number of players, a time limit is given to the game. The players control themselves with Two Circle Pads on the screen, one for moving their player, and one for moving their sight. When a player gets another player into the target in the middle of their screen, the auto fire kicks in and eventually the other player may die. At the end of the time limit, the scores are calculated and the winning team (Or Player In Free-For-all mode), and the MVP is determined.

Their are many guns that can be found in-game, aside from the default gun. There are also two types of grenades that the player can use.

Now that you have the "Low-Down", Let's get to the critique.

Archetype is a blast. It can get a little aggravating when those archetype addicts enter the game and simply dominate, but with a little practice you'll be dominating, too. Although, some of these "Dominators" will want to make you throw your phone across the room. With a game using the Iphone's or Ipod's wireless compatibility, you'd expect the game to lag a lot, but it doesn't.

Pretty Much everything in archetype is great, but there are a few things here and there that can be found unappealing. For example, the challenge mode, which players use to challenge their friends, seems to be broken. Also, one song that is played through the entire game can get a little annoying, along with the hideous noise that a player makes upon death. Load times are kind of a drag too, but you can't blame them because the game runs so smoothly. However, awesome 3d graphics, online play, and fast-paced gaming can make the game a real battery drainer.

Closing Comments
Archetype is an enjoyable, addicting, competitive game that pretty much any player with Wifi or 3G can experience. With only a few bugs here and there, It really is awesome. And you can't forget the beautiful graphics, either. Archetype is,in one word, a Blast.

Final Score:

9-Incredible
